A man who went overboard from a cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico has been found dead, according to CNN.
Body Found After Search Operation
The man, James Michael Grimes, fell overboard from a Carnival cruise ship on Sunday. A large search operation was launched, but Grimes was not found until Monday.
The body was found about 100 miles off the coast of Louisiana. The cause of death is under investigation.
Grimes was a passenger on the Carnival Magic, which was on a seven-night cruise from New Orleans to Cozumel. He was reported missing on Sunday afternoon.
The Carnival Magic is now back in New Orleans. The cruise line is offering support to Grimes' family and friends.
